Site work from the Pittstown shop

Why Pittstown is the center of the map

Pittstown is an unincorporated community in Alexandria Township, and the shop address on Upper Kingtown Road is the physical center of the company. The land around it is farms, horse properties, and houses on larger parcels, with County Routes 513 and 579 and the Route 12 corridor a short haul away. Mobilizing here is a few miles, not a trailer ride across the state.

That matters for the mix Thomas wants. A commercial pad in the northern part of the county, a new home site on acreage, and a barn pad can all be real jobs without the machines spending the day on the road. The red truck and the trailer in the photos are how equipment gets to the next site. Starting in Pittstown keeps those moves short when the work is local.

What the ground is like

Alexandria Township is agricultural. Public sewer is not the default on the larger parcels, so septic installation is a normal part of a new house or a farm building. Drives are often long, and a ditch at the road usually needs a culvert before stone goes down. Slopes and seasonally wet ground show up in the same fields that look dry in August.

Commercial work in this corner of Hunterdon is smaller in volume than along Route 22 or Route 31, and it still exists: local buildings, institutional and farm-related sites, and contractors who need a site-work sub that can be on the property the same morning. The larger residential and farm jobs are the steady local pattern between those commercial sites.

Asking for work around the shop

Put Pittstown or Alexandria on the quote, along with the project type. If the property is in a neighboring township, Holland, Union, Bethlehem, or Franklin, name that too. Those towns are covered on the service area page even when they do not have their own URL, and they are close enough to judge from the size of the job.
